Perhaps you are a family group visiting Scotland for the first time or returning home if living overseas and wishing to spend quality time with the family. All properties are open all year round so ideal for Easter, Summer and October school holidays or perhaps a gathering over Christmas and New Year holidays. All enquiries will be responded within 24 hours advising immediate availability from 2 nights or more. Most properties offer excellent value for longer stays.
Properties can be rented for as little as a weekend to a week with your guests perhaps all arriving just in time for a sumptuous afternoon tea. Relax the first evening with drinks on the terrace and a BBQ. The following day either enjoy the array of activities and facilities in your own private property or have an itinerary arranged for a fun day out – golfing, boat trip, beauty treatments, cookery school, whisky distillery tour, walking, mountain biking, sailing, white water rafting, chocolate making and so much more. Not to mention making time to relax in your own private hot tub! All properties offer luxury hydro spa or hot tub and one an outdoor swimming pool and private beach!
To ensure all the family are entertained for the weekend or for the week I offer a range of stunning locations providing an array of fun activities and adventure for all the family. When you book a property we can provide a full fun itinerary and introduce you to some wonderful local suppliers and activity providers who are both qualified and professional in their skills but offer an outstanding level of service. From taking the mountain bikes on a trail or a pony trek and picnic in the beautiful countryside. A range of activities and entertainment can be provided to ensure all ages are catered for from the grand-parents to the grand-children.
On one evening perhaps arrange for a private Chef to come in and prepare the most delicious dinner. After dinner dance the night away your own music played on the top of the range sound system. A morning stroll in the country or a dip in the Loch to wake everyone up before heading home with many happy memories of a fun time had by all!

Catering
After a fun day out why not treat yourself to have your own private Chef prepare a BBQ or dinner using the most wonderful of local and fresh ingredients. Many properties are self catering and as such you have the option to do your own cooking in the most beautiful high spec kitchens. All catering equipment is provided. Alternatively we can recommend an array of excellent private Chefs who can cater perhaps just for the occasional meal or the entire stay. Some properties are full service and as such come with a Chef and waiting staff if this is required. Many properties you can also bring all your own alcohol at no charge.
Hawkswood House – 5 en suite bedrooms, sleeps 10
Near St Andrews offering 5 bedrooms – part of the Hawkswood Country Estate, this property is enjoyed by families who love to golf as we offer a private short game area with the property. On the Estate there is also a private 250+ yard driving range. Or perhaps you would prefer to relax in the luxury hydro spa. Being only 7 miles from St Andrews there is a vast amount of entertainment in the local area as well as the shops and restaurants such as distillery tours, horse riding, land yachting, cycling and coastal walks.
The Roundel – 5 en suite bedrooms, sleeps 10-12
Near St Andrews offering 5 bedrooms – part of the Hawkswood Country Estate. The heart of The Roundel is a jaw-dropping sitting room featuring a lounge and dining area framed by five broad windows that provide panoramic views of the beautiful Fife countryside. Flat Screen TV in both the Lounge and first floor lounge. This room can dine 10 to 30 guests if you are booking The Roundel or two or three properties.
Bowhill House – 5 en suite bedrooms, sleeps 10-12
Near St Andrews offering 5 bedrooms – part of the Hawkswood Country Estate and the 3rd property which opened in June 2022. The largest property on the Estate and also the benefit of all being on one level. A large accessible offering two lounge areas at each end of the house, separate dining room with views to the garden and a high spec luxury dining kitchen. Outdoor relax in your very own hydro spa with views across the River Forth and your private garden.
Hawkswood Country Estate – 15 en suite bedrooms, sleeps 30
Nr St Andrews offers the opportunity of taking exclusive use of the entire Estate offers 15 luxury bedrooms across three properties – Hawkswood House, The Roundel and Bowhill House. Hawkswood Country Estate offers lavish accommodation paired with a tailor-made service. Dining facilities for the entire large group to eat together available for up to 30 guests.
Stuckdarach – 6 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, sleeps 12
Loch Lomond offering 6 bedrooms – a perfect small property ideal for families looking for a longer stay holiday rental. With its own private walled garden this is a very private and safe escape for families. Enjoy the outside space with your own hot tub, BBQ and outside dining space on the terrace. Being on Loch Lomond we recommend perhaps taking a boat trip or other fun activities such as canoe trips, mountain treks, visit to the Aquarium.
Stuckgowan – 9 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, sleeps 19
Loch Lomond offering 9 bedrooms – a larger property which is ideal to accommodate parties needing more space and the house is split over 3 levels. The entertainment level appeals to all our guests – our movie room which is also ideal for watching sky TV, small gym, pool table and bar and an undercover hot tub. The grounds are a mixture of grass and woodland where of a morning you could very likely spot a deer. Again being on Loch Lomond the entertainment and activities for all the family are endless. This is also an ideal location in which to explore more of Scotland and use this location as your base.
Birkhill Castle – 10 bedrooms own bathroom, 2 singles, nursery bedroom, sleeps 28
Near St Andrews, Lord Dundee has made this stunning Castle now available for private exclusive use rental offering 10 double bedrooms, 2 singles and a larger nursery bedroom and most with own private bathrooms. Stunning views over the Estate and the River Tay estuary beyond make this a magical setting for any family gathering. With 1,000 acres to explore there is so much for families to see and do they will never want to leave. Enjoy a dip in our outdoor heated swimming pool or better still take a walk down to our private beach and firepit and enjoy an evening BBQ under the stars. Further activities can be arranged on site which include horse riding, fly-fishing, falconry, whisky tasting, clay pigeon shooting, archery, an afternoon of Highland Games.
Dun Aluinn – 9 en suite bedrooms, sleeps 19 (option to add The Lodge at Dun Aluinn with 4 en suite bedrooms, sleeps 8 to total 13 en suite bedrooms, sleeps 26)
In Aberfeldy, offering 9 to 13 bedrooms – Scotland’s first design exclusive use property set just behind the lovely village of Aberfeldy. The terrace in front of Dun Aluinn has views which are simply breath taking and will leave you feeling relaxed and content. This is the perfect house which can provide both options of full service with a small team of staff or self catering. The grounds are a lovely mixture of grass and parts which are left to give back to nature which the children love to play in. The cedar wood fired hot tub with stunning views is a must and enjoyed by everyone. The children will love the movie room and play den for our younger guests with a great mix of toys and books. We work with you on a full itinerary for day trips such as a pony picnic and falconry display, fishing trip, whisky tours, Highland safari and Loch Tay safari and for the little children – Wee Adventures who are local adventure sports and slow adventure specialists with a reputation for delivering exceptional outdoor experiences and kids’ activity days that will leave them pestering you for more!
Stucktaymore – 13 en suite bedrooms, sleeps 26
Loch Tay offering 13 bedrooms – this property has accommodated many happy families since opening in 2017 as the size accommodates a larger family and spread over 3 levels has lots of space so everyone can feel relaxed. The entertainment level provides a pool table with bar looking outside across Loch Tay and a media room ideal to watch movies or play games. There is an entertainment room which is a wonderful multi purpose room with toys if you wish to use as a play room or a disco ball if you wish to party and dance the night away. Outside there is so much space to enjoy which is completely private and secure. The woodland paths with the garden gargoyles of which there are many are a fun game to play to see how many you can find! A large hot tub overlooking the Loch and terrace with BBQ complete the outdoor living experience. Loch Tay and the surrounding area also have so much to offer from boat trips, whisky tastings, bake school, chocolate making workshops, cycling, sailing, white water rafting, golfing and so much more
